While there was no restriction in filling up the posts by promotion through Departmental Examination, the Circles on clearance of direct recruitment vacancies of the years 2006,2007 and 2008 under the Optimisation Scheme were directed vide this Department’s Letter No. 60-16/2009-SPB-I, dated 31st August, 2009 to ensure that the direct recruitment process is finalized and results declared by 31st December 2009. If any Circle is still in the process of filling up the unfilled vacancies of the years 2006, 2007 and 2008 by GDS, they may report the present status to the Directorate by FAX and simultaneously expedite the action. Such Circles while advertising/circulating (by 20th August, 2010) the number of vacancies of the years 2009 and 2010 to be filled up by direct recruitment should clearly indicate that the number of vacancies is likely to increase.
