Glorious 36^th Joint Circle Conference    Of Kerala Circle

36^th Joint circle Conference of NFPE was held at Kannur from 22^nd to 24^th June 2014 in befitting manner. On 22^nd morning NFPE flag was hoisted by Secretary General Com. M. Krishnan at 9:30 am.The conference was inaugurated by Com. Venkatesh Arthreya. Com. Jacob Thomas vice chairman of cockerala presided over the function. Com. C. C. PillaiEx SIG, Com. N. BalakrishnanFSETO, Com. K. Mohanan BSNLEU addressed the inaugural conference. All general secretaries and Com. K. V. Sreedharan Ex GS and R.Sivanarayana President P3, were present.Com. M. Prakashan Master Chairman,Com. M. Sahadevan were made welcome speech and vote of thanks’

          Afternoon delegate session of affiliated unions were held in separate halls which inaugurated by Coms.K,V.Sreedheran P3, R.Seethalakshmi P4, PandurangaRao AIPEU GDS, Giriraj Singh R3, P.Suresh R4, M.Krishnan SBCO and C.C.Pillai PT/Contingent.At 5PM cultural meeting was held which was inaugurated poet com.PrabhaVerma and after that cultural programmes arranged by reception committee.

          On 24^th delegate sessions started at 9AM and at 4PM trade union seminar was held which was inaugurated by com.K.T.Kunhikannan Director of keluvettan Research centreCalicut.Leaders of various trade unions like ArakanBalan CITU, J.Udayabhanu AITUC, PHM Ismail NGO Union, V.Sreekumar confederation,K.C.Harikrishnan KSTA, C.J.Nandakumar BEFI, Dr.A.Valsan AKGCTA, Prof.V.Kuttian AKPCTA, Ushadevi KGNA, A.Nujum KMCSU, Sunukumar PSCEU, Abhilashkrishnan KSEA, K.G.Jayaraj AIBDPA, C.K.Aboobacker CGPA addressed the seminar.

          On 25^th morning separate delegate session was held and elected the circle office bearers of all unions.At 11AM mahila convention was inaugurated by com.P.KSreemathi Teacher Hon M.P. of Kannur which was presided by com.C.P.Shobhana and addressed by com.Bhagyalakshmi BSNLEU and Baby Confederation. At 2PM joint delegate session was inaugurated by com.P.Karunakaran MP and chairman of NFPE Kerala and addressed by com.Sivadas all India President of SFI. Veteran leaders and circle leaders who are reitiring from service were honoured by P.Karunakaran MP. Policy and programme resolution was adopted in that meeting. At $PM a huge and colourful procession was started. Hundreds of postal employees and delegates participated in the procession which was greeted by various trade unions and mass organisations throughout the way by shouting slogans. A public meeting was held in conclusion of the conference which was inaugurated by com.M.V.Govindan state leader of CPM and presided by com.P.Karunakaran MP. Various political leaders like KadannapallyRamachandran state president of congress s, ThavamBalakrishnan CPI and E.P.Damodaran master state vice president of Janatadal addressed the public meeting. COC convenor P.V.Rajendran and reception committee convenor M.Sahadevan made the welcome and vote of thanks.

CASUAL, PART-TIME, CONTINGENT EMPLOYEES WAGE REVISION

             Kerala Circle Union filed contempt petition in CAT Ernakulam Bench against non-implementation of CAT Judgement directing immediate wage revision with effect from 01-01-2006.

               Department requested extension of time CAT granted two months extension upto 27th August 2014.

              No further time will be granted.
