Subject: - Prayer for justice
against sexual harassment at work place.
Respected Madam,
Kindly refer to this union letter of even number dated 08-07-2013 vide
it which highhandedness and biased behavior of SRM `GH` Division Guwahati was
brought into your kind notice.
Now he has crossed all limits by calling a
physically lady ugly. She is 60 years old and superannuating on 31-07-2013. On
phone he said to this physically challenged lady ““Office Me Quon cha chehara Dekhana ate hain”.
This words of SRM `GH` Division demoralized her.
The matter did not end here she has a adopted
daughter with all formalities prescribed
under the adoption act. But vide letter B-173/part/ch-II dated 21-06-13 SRM
`GH` Division raised a question that how
she could be a mother of a adopted child being a physically challenged
woman & thereby insulted her publically among the staff through his this letter.
This shows his highhandedness and biased behavior to delay her retirement
benefits.
Your goodself is very serious on sexual harassment and has called for
reports from circles recently.
We urge upon you to kindly direct CPMG Assam Circle to take a serious
view in this matter and shift the SRM `GH`Division Guwahati who does not fit to
head a unit where ladies are directly under his control to maintain congenial atmosphere in the Circle.
