The 29th Circle Conference of R3 Tamilnadu Circle was organised in Chennai City from 28th to 30th July, 2012. Circle President Comrade S.Thyagarajan presided the Conference.
The Conference was attended by Com. Giriraj Singh General Secretary R3 who inaugurated the Circle Conference on 28th July.
The Circle Conference Open Session as well as the Felicitation of Comrade M.Kannaian outgoing Circle Secretary of Tamilnadu Circle was organised very nicely on 29th July, in which the Secretary General NFPE Comrade M.Krishnan and many other leaders including Comrades D.Theagarajan Secretary General FNPO; K.Ragavendran Ex-Secretary General & Working President Confederation; K.V.Sridharan Ex-General Secretary P3 & Postal Staff Side JCM Leader; P.Suresh General Secretary R4; Appanraj General Secretary SBCO; S.Ragupathy Assistant Secretary General NFPE; Y.Nagabhooshanum Working President Casual Labour Union; M.Duraipandian General Secretary Confederation Tamilnadu Circle; N.Balasubramanian Ex-Circle Secretary P3 TN Circle; H.V.Kurup Ex-AGS R3; P.V.Rajendran AGS R3; P.Kamleshan Ex-AGS R3; A.Srinivasa Circle Secretary R3 Karnataka; M.B.Sukumar AGS R3; S.Noor Ahamed Ex-General Secretary FNPO R4; P.Kumar Circle Secretary FNPO R3 addressed. Sri.V.P.R.Ramesh Ex-M.L.A., and Chairman Reception Committtee also addressed the Conference. Many Circle Secretaries of NFPE Unions also attended and addressed the Open Session. Retired Postmaster General Shri.K.Ramachandran also addressed the Felicitation of Comrade M.Kannaian.
Secretary General Comrade M.Krishnan released the felicitation souvenir of Comrade Kannaian's retirement from Department service and the General Secretary received the first copy. The memoirs of Comrade Kannaian's trade union life was releasaed by Comrade K.Ragavendran Working President Confederation and the same was accepted by Comrade K.V.Sridharan Staff Side JCM leader.
The debate on issues confronting the RMS in particular and the Postal and CG in general were elaborately discussed by the delegates and summed up by the Circle Secretary Comrde Kannaian and the General Secretary Comrade Giriraj Singh.
The Conferene elected a new set of Office Bearers headed by Comrades S.Thyagarajan as Circle President; K.Sankaran as Circle Secretary; and K.Ramesh as Circle Treasurer. The CHQ congratulates all the newly elected office bearers and greets them wih all success.
